about haw far in till they get interesting i know they usually start off with the main character telling us about what is going on now but do they get interesting right at the beginning and if not how far in

I have read nearly all of his books and he is also my favorite.
I am currently reading The Lucky One which is really good so far.
My other favorite is also The Notebook, but I see you already read that one!
